Here are some things that I love to dig into when I am not on the bike. I want to share these too, just because I feel like in using these tools or resources, it makes my rides better. The other thing that I always do is talk to strangers. The locals always know better! They know the food, the roads, and anything else you may be searching for on this journey.

Love Me Some Maps . . .
I started out riding like a “Nomad” I did not care how long I was gone or where I was going. I would ride anywhere and make the decision on if to take a “Left” or “Right” when I came to that fork in the road.
I think I wanted to bike to stay a free as it possibly could, so I did nto get into maps until here lately. I have also been planning one of my first big rides. Hope to put about 5K on the bike in June 2023.
I have started to get maps from everywhere that I can. I am going to start tracking all the roads that I have ridden. Last year I went to WV to meet up with Jimmy, just another dude I met on the road. We rode up there and I absolutely loved it. I am going back soon. I want to start to do long weekends and see the area more. The roads up there are so beautiful. I can’t wait to go back and do some more riding around.
I have a list of all the Maps that I have collected over time on the ‘Map Page’. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to request a digital version. I scan these to be able to keep them on my iPad (downloaded) while riding.
As far as State Maps (Rand McNally), I have started getting these too. I wanted to be able to access the maps just in case we lost service on the Laconia ride. Then I thought, I might as well go ahead and start looking into getting the other State maps that I love to ride all the time. So, then I went ahead and got some Southeast State Maps too. Some have said that I am a little OCD. Since it is more than one person, I have embraced the fact that they are right! HAHA Now I just run with it most of the time until someone grabs the reins to slow me down – never married, single, and living alone in my house, this rarely happens! 😊
