I have been conducting extensive research on the Natchez Trace Parkway to find interesting stops along the route. Despite some negative feedback, they are eager to experience it firsthand. The planned stops include various landmarks like Johnny Cash's Black Cadillac, the Lynyrd Skynyrd Memorial Site, and Elvis's Birthplace. NGMR 1st Saturday Ride – Hiawassee, GA Hawg Wild
On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the North Georgia Mountain Riders went on a ride covering around 150 miles. They rode to Hawg Wild for lunch. The day included a checkout ride, a visit to Alexander’s Store, a stop at Hawg Wild BBQ, and a ride to Ellijay. The day ended with some adult errands accompanied by the Shenie-butt.
Natchez Trace Parkway – Day 4: Cypress Swamp Adventure, The Reservoir Overlook on Natchez Trace, & Unexpected Hiccups
A group of bikers embarked on a 157-mile journey from Starkville to Jackson, Mississippi, along the Natchez Trace. Despite time constraints, they plan to return in the fall. Highlights include a visit to the Cypress Swamp and a stop at the Reservoir Overlook. The journey's end in Meridian, MS, was marked by bike issues and a search for a Yeti cooler.
Our “DAILY RIDE PLANS” for Natchez Trace – Days 1 – 5
The itinerary consists of a 5-day motorcycle ride from Cumming GA to various locations and back. It includes daily waypoints, dining, accommodation, and camping options. Highlights along the route include historic sites, scenic drives, and local eateries. The journey covers a total of around 1,492 miles and offers both urban and natural experiences.
Natchez Trace Parkway – Day 3 Highlights: Ride, Frank Lloyd Wright, Rattlesnake Saloon
Summary: A 283-mile ride from Lawrenceburg, TN encompassed visits to the Rosenbaum House, Sunken Trace Trail, Wichahpi Commemorative Stone Wall, and Rattlesnake Saloon. Touring Frank Lloyd Wright's house was insightful. The group made adjustments to their itinerary and decided to visit the Cypress Swamp and Reservoir Overlook. The trip concluded with plans for future explorations.
Natchez Trace Parkway – Day 2 Highlights: Discovering the Natural Bridge & Dixie Lee Diner
The group set out on a 293-mile motorcycle ride from Tarwater, Alabama to Monteagle, TN, stopping at the Natural Bridge and other landmarks along the way. They visited the Dixie Lee Diner and Loveless Café, and experienced the Natchez Trace Parkway, despite some mishaps. They ended the day at a hotel in Lawrenceburg, TN.
