Minnesotans In Georgia Mountains Day 1

Half the Ride. Did not catch the first half to the meet location.

84 Miles – from the Meet Home. I found out my friends from Minnesota were coming down into Georgia through a Facebook post. Oh boy, little Miss. Ann Marie . . . . I said my peace ❤️ , and then tracked them down in the Georgia mountains. Here’s our ride!!

Heading Out on Our Ride

Tracy and Ann were staying at the Iron Horse Lodge in North Carolina. I wrapped up as much work as I could do as early as possible on Friday. Then I headed up to the mountains to hang out with them. We ended up meeting in Clayton for lunch. Afterward, we headed off to Highland on War Woman Road and then into The Highlands, NC. I took them by way of Moonshiners just to break them in on the GA curves! ❤️

The Waterfall

We read through the Highlands in North Carolina, and then headed back down towards Murphy. We stopped at a couple of the waterfalls along the way. Ann got some great pics on her bike. Tracy managed to take a break and watch us walk down to the other!

I probably should have thought about it, but I took them on some of the curviest roads that I knew! Them being from Minnesota, this was probably a different ride for them! I think Tracy loved it. She was bringing up the rear. She was taking up the curves like a pro!

Puppy Rode Up to Ride Back with Me ❤️

Once puppy got off of work, he headed up there to find me and ride back home with me. We had to get back home because another friend from Minnesota was already in Florida. This friend was heading up to the house to stay the night Friday night. And then the three of us were heading back to the mountains For some more riding. We also planned along the way to meet up with Tracy and Ann again tomorrow. All of us would ride together. My friend coming up from Florida, Pawlie, and and and Tracy had never met. Funny they drove all the way down to Florida to meet somebody else from Minnesota!

The Other Minnesotan Arrived

I am not sure how this all happened at the same time. I had another buddy who was working in Florida for a couple of weeks. He was from Minnesota too. He came to stop by the house to ride for a day on his way back to the house. So, Ann and Tracy came down to ride, and Pawlie was down in Florida. They did not know each other and both ended up in GA to ride on the same weekend. I had a ride up north where we all rode together! This was such an interesting coincidence!! Whelp, now that we are all in GA, we are all going to finally ride together! I was curious to see if the three of them would all be riding back north together. Ann, Tracy, and Pawlie were the ones I was curious about. This would be after finally meeting!

Pup and I headed back home to meet Pawlie that night we he rode up to join us!

Pawlie made it from Florida to Georgia!! So good to see ya buddy!!

Paul made it to the house later that Friday evening. I gave him a little bit of food and helped him get settled in. Then we all hit the sack. We wanted to get an early rise the next morning. Our plan was to head to the mountains.

It was so good to see him again we rode for years in Minnesota together! Another exciting thing is that he’s heading to Sturgis with us in 2025! It’s gonna be a great trip!
