The REVER Ride

Meridian MS to Cumming GA

325 Miles. Hightailed it home that AM. We had people take a couple of different directions . . . Here is what we did getting back to ATL from Meridian MS.

Loading up and Heading out of Meridian MS

We were going to split up the ride for today. Lane and Julie were going to head straight across to Macon, and then Lane would peel off while Julie headed back north. Krystal and I were going to just head straight towards Atlanta, and Pup’s going to be behind us in the U-Haul since we were paying for the miles on the U-Haul. The idea was to take the shortest and most direct route to not go over the allotted miles allowed.

This may be a longer haul for Julie, but she beat us back to ATL! She got Lane over to Montgomery (I think) and then broke off and headed to Killer Creek for a weekend event. So funny . . . That Girl is a steady rider . . . smooth is fast, fast is reckless. She is one of those that is smooth and Steady!

The Ride Home

I didn’t have any video at all or pictures from today, but we hightailed it back from Meridian Mississippi back to the house in Cumming Georgia. Jason followed Krystal and I in the U-Haul truck and he was able to get some picks while we were riding on the highway. It was a good little ride. We made good time until we got into the Atlanta area . . . we hit traffic there of course. We pulled over at a gas station to hang out as opposed to sitting on the highway in the full heat until they were able to get the accident cleaned up. A semi had turn over and it was blocking one of the two lanes.

Getting the Baby . . .

Brooke and Puppy headed to Tarwater Farm in the car to get the Demon Baby!

We made it home by around 1 or 2 that afternoon. Puppy did not want to wait to go get the baby from the farm. We loaded up in the car to go pick up our baby from the farm. She is the best babe in the whole world. I can’t wait until she gets to go with us. It is crazy how much I miss this lil one. She is such a sweetheart when she doesn’t want to fight! ❤

Conclusion For this Trip

This trip turned out to be a fun trip for me. I hope that everyone else liked it as much as I did! There are always lessons learned and discoveries to do things better. I think the planning was pretty good, but the second day was going to be a long one as far as miles and stops. I hated that we did not get as far as we planned, but I feel like we would have missed a lot of sights along the way had we just literally rode the Trace nonstop.

Even with the hiccups with the bikes, everyone pulled together, and we were able to get things planned out to get the bikes either fixed or back home. Not a perfect scenario, but everyone made it home safe and that is the priority. Overall, this was a great trip with a great group of girls!

I think we are going to head back in the fall and pick up where we left off. I will link the posts together and add those days to the Trip Menu when that trip happens!
