Birthday Funday Ride! 358 Miles

Saturday 23

I didn’t take a lot of pictures today because I was bundled up pretty good. It’s always less pictures when the weather is cold and I have gloves on.!!

Spending some Quality Time in with Shenie before we had to get ready to leave ….

We hung around the house with Shenie the morning, and let the weather clear just a little bit before we start getting ready to head out. My friend Heather came over to watch Shenie. Her puppy, Santana, gave Shenie a play buddy for a day!

Loading up and getting ready to leave out!

The weather was really pretty when we loaded up in Cumming Georgia to head out. We put all of our stuff in one bag so that it was light and then drove off. The sun was even out and shining and wasn’t very cold.!

The REVER ride … 185 Miles

We left the house about noon, and headed north! We stopped and had a quick bite to eat in Clayton, Georgia and then headed on toward NC.

The weather was pretty good all the way up until we got into Cherokee. Once we had Cherokee, we started getting a little bit of sprinkles, but it was really bad when we hit Clingman’s Dome where it was rain and cold. Pup slid a little bit on the top and he wasn’t even going fast!

Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge

We came in to Gatlinburg and then headed to the arts District to my favorite pottery shop. They happen to be closed, but I popped into the ceramic store and found a tree like my mom painted when I was very very small. It lit up and it had mice all over it. I loved it.

Winding down for the night

We checked into our hotel and then headed over to this local diner for some dinner. It was really good food on our waitress was really sweet. I didn’t have any room for a milkshake, but I had packed some homemade snickerdoodles and brought them with us. So the snickerdoodles were the bedtime snack!

Saturday 24

A Brand New Day . . . . Sunny and Everything!

Got some sun finally!! We were heading back to the house and we had some beautiful weather. It was a great weekend together. We did not get a ton of time, but it was enough to make it all worth it. What am I thinking? Anytime on the bike is as good as it can get!

The Fastest Car I ever had ….. he said!

We ran into a dude at the gas station! He gave me some tips on his corvette. Him and his wife were so very nice!! They both have a motorbike and a trike. They were such a nice and joyful couple. The video cracks me up.
