January 2024: John Athens – Motorcycle First Aid and Crash Incidents

Guest Speaker: John Athens

There were so many good things that came out of this meeting, I can’t get them all noted! I am going to let you watch the video of the presentation so you can learn them all for yourself. It was mentioned that John may come back and give a class or two for the group. I will be attending one if it is offered!

Tips and Learned Lessons!

I did not really edit these two videos too much – you get the set up and all. This recording was more of a trial run for recording the speakers and posting them. I will edit and post more quickly after this!

First Time Attendees to the Monthly Meeting

Here are some folks that attended the meeting for the first time. I apologize if I did not get your name correct – I was cutting up with the ladies at the table and did not take the best notes at this meeting!! Comment at the bottom of the post to correct me! So glad to welcome everyone to come back and join the group!

The Fellowship

The fellowship is awesome in this group! The one thing that I love is that they do more riding than just to “lunch stops”! They have travelled to Sturgis, Nova Scotia, and many other trips together! There are so many members, some living in other states, but that is the beauty of it. They do great charity works and continue to grow! This is always a plus in a group! I have been with them for several years now! I am still learning names!!

The Ladies . . . Joining In.

The ladies are taking advantage of having this group as an asset to their trips, motorcycle knowledge, and experience with riding. We are all (almost) through all the prerequisites that are required to join the group. We are all planning on going with this group to the Spring ride at the Iron Horse Lodge. There have been some issues with booking with lodge, so we (the ladies) booked our cabin up the way. It is the same cabin that we stayed in this past fall on our own planned ride up in those mountains. We are all looking forward to staying there again.
