2023-03-11 Burnt Mountain Beginner (Open) Ride, GA Stilettos

It was a chilly morning to start, but we survived. We had a total of 12 folks in the group and we had a great time. Here area some of the things we did, saw, and waypoints along the route. All in all we rode just over 100 miles that day – well that was my count, but I am farther to the north, so others probably rode more than me. We had a couple of ladies that had their first success over the mountain. Tracy and Laura did so well riding over Burnt Mountain. They are great ladies to have as apart of the group too.

Here is a video of some of our ride: https://youtu.be/O4OCRlB0A7I

Appropriate for the group. They are at Olde Town Cutlery off US 400 Next to Appalachian Biker Gear.
Tracy Ann Dean is my new double trouble.

All the bikes looking as pretty as ever!
Laura Bigler, Julie Crone Clark, Barb Albright, Tracy Ann Dean (aks Double Trouble), and me

We met in Cumming GA at the QT and headed up 400 to the Appalachian Biker Gear and New Town Cutlery. Mr. Jerry sewed on some of our patches and Jason even found a great new pair of chaps. Not everyone stopped on top of Burnt Mountain to take in the overlook, but those who did took advantage of the view and the photo op!

We headed over Burnt Mountain, Hwy 136 from Dawsonville, GA to Jasper, GA to have lunch at Rocco’s Pub

Rocco’s was great. We all had some great food and listened to the live band that was play.

Caught Julie heading out on her bike! Rides that 2020 Street Glide like the pro that she is!

There there was only one jerk that entire day and he passed all 12 bikes going up the mountain, double line and around curves.

    1. I have to be careful to take time to re-read all the stuff I type in! Half the time I am in such a hurry that I don’t go back and check my spelling or if it even makes sense. I am getting better when I slow my little busy ass down! Miss ya!
